IBM Cognos specialist consulting firm Tridant has been recognised as a BRW Fast Starter for the first time since its inception in 2007. Tridant has been ranked 58th on the prestigious 2011 BRW Fast Starters list and is now firmly focused on high growth through consistent delivery and a sustainable business model.

“We are immensely proud of our first inclusion in the prestigious BRW Fast Starters list,” says Tridant founder Nimrod Kuti. “What we have achieved over the past four years is a credit to our business model and our staff. Our ranking is well-deserved recognition of everyone’s hard work.”

The BRW Fast Starters 2011 list is based on turnover in FY2009 and FY2010 and both Kuti and co-founder Alec Jeffery are expecting similar revenue growth for FY2011. “We have confidence in our strategy and we look forward to growing our newly established Sydney office and expanding the Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth practices” says Jeffery.

At the IBM 2010 Business Awards function held in Sydney last week Tridant won the SMARTER PLANET AWARD – New Intelligence. These awards recognise and reward outstanding achievements of IBM Business partners and IT Resellers.

Tridant was recognised for the innovative work done at the AFL implementing a performance management solution. Bill Tsiakos, Shared Services Manager at the AFL said “The AFL needed a solution which would allow access to a vast amount of data quickly and easily. Not only did we need to access data, but also understand the data for both budgeting and forecasting purposes.  The solution proposed by Tridant and IBM was appropriate and very well architected.”

A highlight of the event was the bridge building challenge. Teams consisting of 4 consultants were given 45 minutes to build a freestanding bridge with a 30cm span out of newspaper and tape. A testament to the creative thinking and building skills in the company with all the teams submitted designs that could hold at least 10 litres of water. The winning design went on to hold 25 litres of water before gravity took over.
